Services We Offer

Depending on your condition, we may recommend Any of the following during your appointment.

Acupuncture

Thin, sterile, filiform needles are placed at precise points along the body's energy pathways (known in Traditional Chinese Medicine as channels or meridians) to restore balance, stimulate the immune system, and reduce pain and inflammation. Insertion is often painless, but patients can feel many sensations from the needle. Sessions are deeply relaxing, often leaving you with a calm, grounded sense of ease. Your treatment may include multiple styles of acupuncture, among them trigger point therapy, muscle motor point stimulation, and electro-acupuncture, each selected to best support your individual needs.

Cupping

Heated glass or silicone cups are placed on the skin to create therapeutic suction, lifting the soft tissue and drawing fresh circulation to the surface. This releases muscle tension, moves stagnant blood and lymph, and supports detoxification. Sessions often leave circular marks (a normal and expected sign that stagnation is being cleared), which typically fade within a few days. Cupping is particularly effective for tight muscles, respiratory congestion, and stress-related tension held in the back and shoulders.

Gua Sha

A smooth-edged tool is pressed firmly along the skin, releasing fascial adhesions and stimulating blood flow beneath the surface. The technique may produce temporary redness called sha — a sign that stagnation is being resolved. Gua sha is highly effective for neck and shoulder tension, chronic pain, and inflammation, and is also used in gentle facial protocols to support lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, and encourage a healthy glow.

Moxibustion

Dried mugwort (known as moxa), is burned near or on specific acupuncture points to deliver deep, penetrating warmth into the channels of the body. This nourishes the body and is effective in treating pain from old injuries, fatigue, digestive weakness, menstrual irregularities, and providing immune support. Many patients find the warmth deeply comforting, with a grounding, restorative quality distinct from other therapies.

Tui na

Tui na is a system of Chinese therapeutic bodywork that uses rhythmic pressure, rolling, kneading, and targeted acupressure applied along the channels and joints. It is effective for musculoskeletal pain, joint stiffness, headaches, digestive complaints, and stress. We often combine tui na with acupuncture for a more comprehensive treatment.

Custom Herbal Formulas

Your formula is prescribed individually based on your constitution and presentation, and is available as granule concentrates or bulk herbs. Taken between sessions, herbal formulas extend and deepen the work done in the clinic, making them a powerful complement to acupuncture treatment. We often prescribe them for menstrual irregularities, fertility support, indigestion, and more.
